Social Media & Manchester: Why We Love Our City

Some locations lend themselves to the perfect career path, for instance if you happen to live in the Shetlands and love fishing then happy days, similarly if you’re into mountain climbing, etc then living next to Snowdon is for you. The same is true with social media, believe it or not living in a big city is a huge advantage.
One of the benefits of doing social media in Manchester is that you can tap into the zeitgeist of todays modern culture. The same is true if you live in London or Liverpool as well.

Being at the centre of cultural creativity means that you can be hardwired to the industry with your finger on the pulse of what is happening with social media. Perhaps this is just a psychology state of mind but it is a powerful feeling, that breathes confidence into new ideas, strategies and relationships.

There is a reason why Manchester has become a breeding ground for culture and that’s because culture breeds culture. It’s a self perpetuating thing, with each person spurring each other on to create an amazing pop song, piece of art, novel, TV programme or even social media campaign. The fact that we walk past the MEN everyday and that we are in awe of the City Tower building gracing our skyline just reminds us what is possible in Manchester.

The same is just as true for other techniques, such as content writing and link building but with social media there is an added bonus of being based in Manchester. This is the fact that a lot of businesses hold social events and fund raising campaigns in Manchester, which means having offices here enables our staff to report on events as and when they happen. That is why I would always choose a PR or social media company that is A) Near to your own office, and B) Located within London, Manchester, Liverpool or another large city.
